The Hunger Games Ball is a competition where participants compete for trophies and cash prizes. It serves as a platform to bring forth the voices of those who are marginalized within an already marginalized community through the theme “Hunger Games”, a popular film trilogy based on a book. Not only that, but it will dually educate the attendees on the history and impact of ballroom culture and provide sexual health resources to participants in this ball.

Pride means being free to live authentically, comfortably and happily, regardless of the external influences and pressures around us. I show my pride through living my life without limits and by maintaining a positive outlook on life’s moments both big and small, good and bad, in order to inspire others to do same same.
