I’m Tired of Becoming

Becoming,

I am becoming the one I was meant to be

Through trials and tribulations

I triumph

Through the quaking

I triumph

Through the fire

I triumph

Through the cold

I triumph

Through the storm

I try

Through the desert

I need some umph

Through it all, I am only human and I am tired of triumphing

I want to lay down and wake up once the trial is over

Is it so wrong to want a break, a legit break

A nigga is tired and I am ready to just be successful already

Life is not fair, nor is she practical so I guess I will just have to wait and see like everyone else

See, on this journey called life we do not get to choose our path

We make strides

We fail

We succeed

We live in a world full of unpredictability that is predictable

We are forged in the crucible that is crafted by the unknown and shaped by the mold designed by life

It is in that, we become

I am tired
