Binge Living

What a show this is.

Life.

Rolling the camera.

Writing, directing, and producing each shot of our scenes.

Gods writing the plot twists and developments for characters throughout the story..

The universe directing scenes and the settings they take place

and scaling them full circle like a long-awaited crossover episode.

Life producing the cast that will portray the best performances of

Our characters, good, chaotic, and neutral.

Living beings, spirits, and entities watching as the audience.

The audience will cheer and boo the characters

they’ve chariot since the pilot of the series premiere.

Loving, despising, and falling for the dynamics, development,

rise and fall of their personas.

The hero that everyone falls in love with from the wit of their charm.

The villain that everyone wants to kill off or allow karma due diligence.

The individual who makes us smile despite

the danger and challenges the story takes on.

The person who warms our hearts with heartfelt scenes and messages.

The side character who annoys us beyond capable comprehension…

Yes, that character…

We know who you’re thinking of.

It’s no secret that even the not-so-favorite

characters have their own fan clubs

filled with character analyses of why this

audience member despises them so much.

A live picture action with a twist of reality show drama

With the stakes of elimination.

Whispering with their neighbors.

Building their fan bases.

Voting for their most loved characters

and wishing elimination on characters by the next episode.

Laughing with us during the fun scenes of episodes.

Crying along with us during the sad scenes of the season.

Plotting and building ships to sail their favorite could-be couples.

Missing the characters that have exited stage left so soon within the plot.

Yucking and imitating puke gestures at episodes that push

corny holiday-agenda-focused episodes that have nothing to do with the

cliffhanger life left us hanging on by a hair follicle.

Wishing things get better as the season takes a toll for the worse

hoping our characters are able to get to that place of joy and peace

even if it means that the show could possibly end.

Even with all the descriptions, flips, and turns of this poem,

You probably smiled, frowned, or shed a tear thinking of your favorite show.

Ultimately, forgetting that somewhere out there,

You’re a character in the longest running show called Mortality.
