Why Ronald Reagan Is The Devil
If you’ve watched The Boondocks, you’ve probably heard Huey call Ronald Reagan the devil on multiple episodes. I thought Huey was just on his hotep shit but it turns out that Reagan literally is the worst. Here’s why:
Remember when Kanye West said Bush doesn’t like Black people? He forgot to include Reagan. Ronnie was racist AF and it’s been proven. There's audio proof from 1971 of Reagan and Nixon making racist comments including Reagan calling Black people monkeys. This man was caught in 4KKK with another president and Republicans were like “Y'all hear something?” Yes, we do hear something and it’s RACISM.
As if racist comments weren’t enough, Reagan supported many laws that had a direct and negative impact on black communities such as restricting housing benefits, aid to children in poverty, and food stamp programs. And don’t get me started with his “War On Drugs” bullshit that was actually “War on Niggahs Who Like to Get High”. Sidenote, congrats to drugs for winning that war btw. You deserve that W sis!
On a serious note, the War on Drugs began during Nixon’s presidency around 1971. Nixon was of course racist af but fortunately/unfortunately, Watergate happened and he resigned before the House could impeach him. A decade later, Reagan picked up the “I hate Blacks” baton from Nixon and the War on Drugs was reborn. In 1981, there was a massive increase in mass incarceration for minor and nonviolent drug offenses. Do I even have to say that this increase in incarceration targeted Black people? Niggahs was walking around with half of a half of a half of a gram and Ronnie was like “ELECTRIC CHAIR!” But seriously, in 1980, criminal punishment for nonviolent drug crimes averaged at about 50,000 a year. After Reagan's discriminative and hard work, that average increased to 400,000 in 1997. Like damn, that number is so high I needed to hit the blunt because what in the F U C K. Why was the Reagan administration working harder than Kris Jenner?
Even though Reagan was making life hell for Black Americans, hating Black people in America wasn’t enough for Ronnie. He had to hate Black people in Africa too. When South Africa was going through an atrocious apartheid, the U.S. Congress passed the Anti-Apartheid Act of 1986 to apply pressure on South Africa to end the apartheid. Reagan’s racist ass of course opposed this which forced Congress to override his veto. His hateful ass probably took a nap during Sarafina. Raggedy bitch.
Anyway, whenever he wanted a break from being racist, he decided to be homophobic. We all know that HIV/AIDS was labeled the “gay virus” in the 1980s. In 1986, deaths by the virus had doubled. What did our so-called President Reagan do? He tried to cut funding for AIDS/HIV research. His negligence is a contributing factor to the overwhelming HIV/AIDS fatalities that occurred during the 80s. White pastors heard that shit and started jacking off to pictures of Reagan getting inaugurated. Gross.
Cutting HIV/AIDS funding was obviously a horrible decision but making bad decisions was Reagan’s brand. When nearly one third of all farms were at risk of being foreclosed in 1982, Reagan said slick shit like "I think we should keep the grain and export the farmers.” Imagine being on the verge of losing it all and hoping the president is gonna help you but instead he’s just like “Fuck yo produce niggah. I have a country to ruin. I ain’t got time for your lower class problems you peasants.” We gotta fight at that point. If this man ain’t the devil then Lucifer must’ve been on vacation because ain’t no way.
Oh and how could I forget about classic Reaganomics? Ronnie’s policies were so damn wild that Republicans began to call it Reaganomics. These policies included the same policies that earned Donald Trump the title of 2nd worst U.S. President by the US News. What were these policies you ask? Making rich people pay less in taxes, giving poor people less help, increasing military spending, and making life easier for the upper class. This man is Trump’s great granddaddy and I can’t say any of us are surprised. I mean, Reagan was an actor for over 30 years before running for president. That niggah prolly lost at the Oscars for the 20th time and was like “Lemme see what the White House hitting on.” Ronald if you don’t take yo white ass back to California!
Sidenote, Reagan’s dick is trash and his stroke is probably weaker than SWV’s knees. Of course this hasn’t been confirmed but how was this man the first president to get divorced? I know a fuckboy when I see one! His ole lady deadass heard his political opinions and went straight to her lawyers. Shieettt, I’d do the same. I hope Jane Wyman took half. She was prolly racist too though. (fuck you bitch).
Last but not least, you know how some people say “Evil people live the longest?” Ronnie didn’t die until he was 93. Like damn, Hell didn’t miss him? What’s crazy was that he suffered from Alzheimer's disease for nearly a decade but I bet he still remembered to hate Black and gay people. I just know the KKK got tattoos of Ronnie’s face on their ass. Anyway, fuck Ronnie and may he rest in consequence for all of his racist, homophobic, and classist bullshit. #HueyWasRight
