The Prodigy Truth

Tony-Lydia McKinney (pronouns: they/them/she), also known as The Prodigy Truth, is a 30 year-old trans/non-binary poet, performing artist, activist, and domestic violence survivor. Recently published in Querencia Press' Winter 2023 and Trans/NB anthologies, T. Lydia is currently ranked #4 in Houston’s '22-'23 poetry slam season. T. Lydia attended Texas State University majoring in Communication Studies, minoring in Theatre. They previously worked as a residential instructor for Texas School for the Blind and YMCA LIVESTRONG instructor before serving as a child abuse investigator in the Texas capital county. T. Lydia now serves the world as a full-time independent artist. They are currently finalizing their first full-length collection of poetry, "The Corona Tapes", detailing the diary of a nameless, genderless black-indigenous person coping with the trials of dysphoria during the pandemic.
