I wanted to create a visual representation of unveiling the metaphorical and literal target placed on black men in this society.
Katrina Kent, "Unearth Her Vision", is a contemporary painter who lives and works in Tampa, Florida. Her colorful paintings pay homage to the beautiful spirit and atmosphere of her culture. This form reveals an alluring perception of joy and strength of the black experience. Although not receiving any formal training, in 2017, a tragedy ignited Katrina’s passion for creativity. With an intense fascination to create, Katrina closely observed and practice to, construct paintings and drawings that made her happy. With a creative mixed media approach, using acrylic paint, digital artwork and other tools she invites us to take a mesmerizing journey to deliver feelings of exploration and imagination.
